100V Backup Input – Critical for Life Safety

The T-7705S features a 100V constant voltage backup input. In the event of network failure, the unit automatically switches to this analog input, ensuring that emergency announcements from a traditional 100V paging system are still heard. The Master/Standby switch enables <0.3s failover for mission-critical applications.

Product Overview – T-7705S

The T-7705S is an economic wall-mounted IP speaker designed for cost-sensitive installations where reliability and backup capabilities are still essential. It combines a 2x20W digital amplifier, 3.4" LCD display, and USB media playback in a compact wall-mount enclosure.

100V Analog Backup – Key Differentiator: Unlike standard IP speakers, the T-7705S includes a 100V constant voltage input that serves as an analog backup. If the network fails or the server goes offline, the speaker automatically switches to the 100V input, receiving announcements from a traditional analog paging system. This makes it ideal for:

  • Schools requiring redundancy for emergency bells
  • Hospitals where life-safety announcements must never fail
  • Government buildings with dual-path requirements
  • Any installation needing fail-safe audio

Cost-Effective Design: The T-7705S offers essential features at an attractive price point: stereo 20W amplification drives passive speakers directly, USB port for local MP3 playback, and 3.4" LCD for status and basic control.

Master/Standby Redundancy: The built-in master/standby switch enables fast failover (<0.3s) when paired with a second unit, ensuring continuous operation even if the primary amplifier fails.

100V Backup Input

Automatic switch to analog 100V paging during network failure. Ensures life-safety announcements are never missed.

Master/Standby Failover

<0.3s automatic switchover to backup unit. Hot-standby mode keeps audio synchronized.

USB Media Playback

Front-panel USB port for local MP3 playback. Ideal for background music or backup announcements.

3.4" LCD Display

Shows volume, source, IP address, and backup status. Simple, reliable interface.

Typical Applications
  • Schools: Classroom speakers with analog bell system backup
  • Hospitals: Patient rooms with redundant emergency paging
  • Government buildings: Dual-path life safety compliance
  • Retail stores: Background music with backup for emergency alerts
  • Industrial: Worker alert systems with analog failover

Master/Standby Redundancy

Two T-7705S units can be configured as a master/standby pair. If the master fails (loss of audio, power, or network), the standby automatically takes over in <0.3 seconds. Connect the failover cable between units and set one to MASTER, the other to STANDBY. Ideal for critical zones where downtime is unacceptable.

100V Backup Input – Important

The 100V backup input is designed for analog 100V line-level signals from a traditional paging amplifier. Do not connect speaker-level outputs directly. The T-7705S's internal amplifier drives the speakers; the 100V input is just a signal source. Ensure backup amplifier volume is set appropriately.

Master/Standby Configuration

For redundant operation, two T-7705S units can be placed in the same zone. Connect the supplied RJ11 cable between units. Set one to MASTER, the other to STANDBY. Both receive the same network audio. If master fails, standby takes over in <0.3s – no audio dropout.

Typical Installation with Backup

Primary: Server → PoE Switch → T-7705S (network audio)

Backup: Analog 100V paging amp → T-7705S 100V input

During normal operation, audio is from network. If network fails, unit automatically switches to 100V backup, ensuring continuous emergency paging capability.
