The T-7700SR is the dedicated hot backup and redundancy software for the ITC T-7700 Series IP network audio system. It is designed to provide uninterrupted broadcasting, paging, and intercom services in mission-critical environments where downtime is not an option. The software operates in an active-standby configuration with a primary server (running T-7700RU1, RU2, or RU3) and a secondary backup server running T-7700SR.
Through a dedicated heartbeat link and real-time database synchronization, the backup server maintains an identical, ready-to-run state. If the primary server fails – due to hardware malfunction, power outage, network failure, or software crash – the backup server automatically assumes control in less than 0.1 seconds. All connected terminals, ongoing broadcasts, scheduled tasks, and active intercom calls continue without interruption. Operators and listeners perceive no disruption.
Automatic switchover in under 0.1 seconds. Ongoing voice broadcasts and emergency announcements are not dropped.
Continuous synchronization of configuration, user database, terminal status, and task schedules.
Backup server runs full version of management software – no feature limitations.
For maximum reliability, ITC recommends identical hardware for primary and backup servers. Use dedicated Gigabit Ethernet ports for heartbeat and data synchronization. T-7700SR is licensed per backup server instance.
T-7700SR is certified for 99.999% availability in ITC reference architectures. Suitable for SIL2/3 environments with appropriate hardware redundancy.
