Switched Power Outlets

The T-7701 features two AC power outlets on the rear panel that are switched on/off based on network activity. When an audio stream is received, the outlets are energized to power connected amplifiers. After a configurable idle timeout (5-60 minutes), the outlets are switched off to save energy. Maximum total load: 5A (resistive).

Product Overview – T-7701

The T-7701 is a 1U rack-mount IP network audio decoder designed to bridge traditional analog audio equipment with modern IP-based broadcasting systems. It receives streaming audio from the T-7700 series server and outputs high-quality line-level analog audio for connection to external amplifiers, mixing consoles, or recording devices.

Intelligent Power Control: One of the standout features of the T-7701 is its two built-in switched power outlets. These outlets automatically power connected amplifiers only when audio is being played, then shut down after a programmable idle period. This significantly reduces energy consumption in 24/7 installations such as schools, retail stores, and corporate offices.

Local Media Playback: The front-panel USB port allows direct playback of MP3/WAV files from a USB drive. This enables local announcement playback, background music, or emergency messages even if the network server is unavailable. Playback is controlled via the front panel buttons or included infrared remote.

Flexible Inputs & Priority: MIC and AUX inputs allow local audio sources to be mixed with network streams. The EMC (Emergency) input has highest priority, automatically muting all other sources when activated – essential for fire alarm integration and emergency paging.

Smart Power Management

Two rear-panel AC outlets switch automatically with audio activity. Saves energy, reduces heat, and extends amplifier life.

Infrared Remote Control

Full-function IR remote included. Volume, source selection, USB track control, and treble/bass adjustment from across the room.

EMC Priority Override

Emergency input forces highest priority, interrupting all other audio. Direct interface with fire alarm systems.

3-Wire Remote Volume

RJ11 interface for connecting T-7771 wall-mounted volume control panels. Adjust volume from remote locations.

Typical Applications
  • Zone paging: Connect to existing analog amplifiers for paging zones
  • Background music: USB playback for continuous music with automatic amp power
  • Emergency systems: Fire alarm integration via EMC priority input
  • Retail stores: Individual zone control with remote volume panels
  • Hospitality: In-room audio distribution via external amplifiers
